Five-year-old Mike Thomas was run over in the centre of the city last Thursday by car with L-plate. The injured child was taken to the hospital where the doctors performed a very serious operation to save his life. Fortunately, the procedure was successful and, according to the doctors, the boys life is now safe. The trainee who was driving the car was really shocked. She couldnt believe what happened. However, as the police claims, she was not responsible for the accident. They are going to investigate if the instructor did everything he could to avoid the accident. The police experts also suggest that some changes should be introduced to the driving instructor training methods. They claim that the instructors ought to prepare trainees for driving lessons more carefully and only after some training on the vehicle manoeuvre area they can drive round the city. One witness of the accident told the police that the woman driving the car had some problems with managing it before, and that the instructor should have reacted earlier. The manager of the National Driving Training Centre has announced that some additional good driving instructor training courses are going to be introduced to the instructors preparation process.
