Everybody knew that David was not a very good student. He never got good marks and he always forgot to do his homework, which made all of his teachers angry. But whenever there was something that attracted his attention, like a book about dinosaurs or a new computer game, he would sink into it, forgetting about the whole world. That was what Dave was like. He also liked art very much, and was also quite talented in this field. One day, his school announced a competition in which the participants were supposed to create a work of art on the topic of recycling and saving the world. Well, that was the topic that Dave was really good at. His father worked for a company that recycled rubber objects such as motorcycle tyres. Dave knew very well what to do. He asked his Dad to bring him a couple of old tyres from work. Then he bought five strong springs. He was sitting in his bedroom al Saturday, without even going down for dinner. His parents didn"t interrupt him because they knew he had such phases sometimes. He simply had to focus on the work. Dave created a figure made of old motorcycle tyres, clothes, springs and buttons on that day. The figure was definitely the best of all works, so of course he won the first place.
